Terms of service

The agreement

These terms are between you and TODO(legal): registered legal entity name, registered at TODO(legal): registered office address. They govern your use of BuildPersona. The governing law and the courts that hear a dispute are TODO(legal): governing law, jurisdiction and dispute-resolution mechanism.

Accounts and workspaces

• You need a verified email address. Keep your password to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account.
• A workspace has one owner. Owners can invite members and can restrict an editor to specific profiles. Owners can remove members, and can delete the workspace.
• BuildPersona is for business use. It is not directed at children; see the privacy policy.

What you must have permission for

This matters more here than in most products.

• Entering a LinkedIn profile URL causes that public profile to be retrieved by a third-party service. Only enter a URL for a profile you own or have been authorised to work on.
• Uploading or recording someone’s voice, or pairing their WhatsApp number, requires their agreement.
• Connecting a LinkedIn account and publishing in someone’s name requires that person to authorise the connection themselves. The authorisation is theirs, not the agency’s.
• If you operate an agency workspace, you are responsible for holding those authorisations and for telling each executive that their data is held here.

Drafts, not statements

BuildPersona produces drafts from material you supply. A draft is not a statement by the executive until a person reads it and approves it. An approval is bound to the exact revision approved: change the text and the approval no longer applies.

You are responsible for what is published. BuildPersona makes no promise about reach, engagement, leads or growth, and none of its output is professional, legal, financial or employment advice.

Publishing to LinkedIn

LinkedIn is a third party and its own terms apply to anything published there. Publication can fail, be delayed, or end in an uncertain state when LinkedIn does not confirm the outcome; BuildPersona records that honestly rather than reporting a success it cannot verify. Only the post formats an operator has enabled and proven are offered. Native LinkedIn articles are handed to you as a package to publish manually.

Plans, payment and cancellation

• Subscriptions are billed by our payment provider. BuildPersona never handles card details.
• Plans carry a profile limit and a shared metered credit balance. Using the balance blocks further metered work in that period.
• When a trial ends or a subscription lapses, the workspace becomes read-only. Your saved work stays available; nothing is deleted because of non-payment.
• Cancellation, proration and refunds are TODO(legal): refund and cancellation terms, including any statutory withdrawal right and proration on plan change. Prices, currency and tax handling are TODO(legal): pricing, currency, tax and invoicing arrangements.

Availability and support

BuildPersona is provided as it is, without an uptime commitment unless one is agreed in writing. Any service level, support hours and response targets are TODO(legal): service level agreement, support hours and response targets. Support contact and escalation are described in the in-app help.

Ending the agreement

You can delete your workspace or your account at any time. Deletion is scheduled with a seven-day grace window in which you can cancel it, and then removes your content as described in the privacy policy. A billing record and a deletion audit record are kept. BuildPersona may suspend or end an account that breaches these terms; the notice period and process are TODO(legal): suspension and termination process, notice period and appeal.

Ownership

You keep everything you put in and everything produced for you from it. BuildPersona keeps the software. Whether and how anonymised usage data may be used to improve the product is TODO(legal): whether customer material may be used to improve the service, and on what basis. Today, no customer content is used to train any model by BuildPersona; what a sub-processor does under its own terms is listed in Data processing and sub-processors.

Liability

The warranty disclaimer, the limitation and cap on liability, the indemnities and the force majeure position are TODO(legal): warranty disclaimer, liability cap, indemnities and force majeure — these must be drafted for the chosen jurisdiction.

Changes to these terms

These terms carry a version, shown at the top of this page. When it changes, the application asks you to accept the new version and records that you did. Continuing to use BuildPersona after a change means the new terms apply. The notice period for a material change is TODO(legal): notice period for a material change of terms.
